Thomas R. Juneau, Sr. is a full-time mediator. He has successfully mediated thousands of cases, ranging from basic, two-party casualty matters to complex, multi-party class action lawsuits. He regularly mediates throughout the entire State of Louisiana and has mediated in various other states, including California, Texas, and New York.

While Mr. Juneau’s mediation practice has focused on serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, he has mediated several cases in a wide array of other fields as well. A few examples include business/commercial disputes, construction claims, coverage matters, first-party claims (property/bad faith claims, U.M. claims, etc.), and professional liability matters.

The vast majority of Mr. Juneau’s mediations result in a settlement. He is tireless and creative in his approach to getting cases resolved. He is known for his positive approach and for frequently thinking “outside of the box” to help the parties craft solutions when it appears that resolution is impossible.

Mr. Juneau completed mediation training at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine Law School, ranked the top dispute resolution program in the county by U.S. News & World Report. He has also been appointed by various judges to serve as Special Master in complex class action disputes.

Recognized as a leader in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution, Mr. Juneau has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the field of Mediation. He is an elected Fellow in the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, Academy of Court-Appointed Neutrals (A.C.A.N.), and the Louisiana Bar Foundation. He is also an elected Barrister in the College of Master Advocates and Barristers. He has been repeatedly named by Louisiana Life Magazine and St. Charles Avenue Magazine as one of the “Top Attorneys in Louisiana”, as well as a “Louisiana Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics. Mr. Juneau was born and reared in Lafayette. He and his wife, Karen, are the proud parents of three adult children: Truley, Thomas, and Mary. He is active in various civic and charitable organizations, including Tiger Athletic Foundation (Board Member), Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana (Emeritus Board Member), Acadian Tigers (Past President), and United Way of Acadiana (Volunteer Hall of Fame).
